All teachers Syllabus Study – October with Julie Brown – online and in person
This learning experience is open to ALL Iyengar yoga teachers who wish to work intensively on the syllabus at Level 1, 2, 3 and 4; in particular poses that may be new or unfamiliar to them. It will cover approaches to working on and practising the poses, as well as how to teach them. One of the defining aspects of teaching Iyengar Yoga is our ability to adjust and assist students. The art of adjustment is an integral part of our method of yoga. In Iyengar Yoga we have an ongoing system of education, training and development of ourselves as practitioners and the connection with our inner teacher and our Senior teachers who share and impart their knowledge with us.
It is important and reassuring to know that we are not defined by a qualification, by our stiffnesses, injuries, age, physical limitations nor by our physical abilities. We are all yoga students who are privileged to teach others and are not in a rush to get anywhere other than to our yoga practice and development. Our syllabus study events are to be enjoyed and experiences shared.
Julie Brown will lead this adventure into the postures and guide us with the syllabus, come along, all welcome!

Online booking closes the day before the event.
We use PayPal to process transactions, however you can use ANY debit/credit card to pay – choose the “Guest User” option on the payment page and you will be asked for your card details.
MDIY members: If you only see the non-member rates, this means you are not logged in properly; please try logging in again. If this doesn’t work, please email webmaster@mdiiy.org.uk.
Non-members: You need to be logged in to book; please create a (free) basic account to book classes/events.

Payment is required in advance. You can pay with cash or a card on the door (if there are places available); but you will not be able to attend the class without payment. If you do need to pay on the door, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the published event start time, to minimise disruption during the class.
We will close the building 20 mins after the event finishes.
We will not tolerate behaviour that our members or volunteers find intimidating or inappropriate, including refusing to leave when asked. We reserve the right to remove membership and/or refuse future entry in the event of such behaviour.

The yoga activities can and may be recommended to be adapted to suit your condition, insofar as possible. Should you experience any symptoms, pain, discomfort, or other concerns that may occur or change at any point during the class, you will immediately abstain from the recommended Activities. You will proceed only at your sole discretion and at your own risk.
- You further understand that you take full responsibility for participating in and completing the recommended yoga positions to the best of your ability.
Booking and cancellation policy (in-person and online attendees)
MDIY members will take priority over non-members. MDIY will refund the cost of tickets (less a £5 administration charge) if notice of cancellation is received more than 7 days before the event. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded.
