DESCRIPTION:Emergency First Aid At Work course\, suitable for teacher train
 ees and for teachers who have never undertaken a full day first aid course
 .  Or those who are wishing to renew their certificate after 3 years.\n\n
 The courses are also open to all members who are interested in learning th
 e basics of emergency first aid.\n\nFrequently Asked Questions about the n
 ew IY(UK) First Aid requirements:\n\nPlease note these only refer to IY(UK
 )’s requirements.  If you need a first aid qualification for any other 
 organisation (e.g. a gym you teach at)\, you will need to check with them 
 whether they will accept this.\n\nQuestion: I did a full day Emergency Fi
 rst Aid At Work course but that was over 3 years ago (so it’s now out of
  date).  Do I need to do it again before I can do the “minimum requirem
 ent” course?\n\n\nAnswer: No\, you can do any course that meets the min
 imum requirement (covers emergency life support\, including CPR and defibr
 illator) now.\n\n\n\n\nQuestion: I have been a teacher for some time and
  have never done a full day Emergency First Aid At Work course\, do I need
  to do that now?\n\n\nAnswer: No\, you can do any course that meets the m
 inimum requirement (covers emergency life support\, including CPR and defi
 brillator) now.\n\n\nQuestion: The provider doesn’t give a certificate
 \, so is this valid for IY(UK)’s requirements?\n\n\n\n\nAnswer: Yes\, y
 ou don’t need a certificate (but do need to do the course with a recogni
 sed provider).  At renewal you will be asked to enter course provider and
  date (and if you have a certificate\, the number – this will be optiona
 l).\n\n\n\nQuestion: The provider for the shorter emergency life support 
 course told me that it’s only valid for 1 year\, so do I need to do it e
 very year?\n\n\n\nAnswer: No\, the IY(UK) requirement is every 3 years so
  that’s how often you need to do it.\n\n\n\n£65 members/£70 non member
 s\n\nBooking and cancellation policy: MDIY members will take priority ove
 r non-members. MDIY will refund the cost of tickets (less a £5 administra
 tion charge) if notice of cancellation is received more than 7 days before
  the event. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the event will 
 not be refunded.
