Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW)
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training is a course that teaches people how to respond to emergencies in the workplace. The training includes theory and practical work, such as treating burns, controlling bleeding, and performing CPR. This course is open to all our members, teachers, students, trainees and friends.
What do you learn in EFAW training?Â
- How to treat burns
- How to control bleeding
- How to perform CPR
- How to manage fractures, dislocations, and sprains
- How to treat eye injuries
- How to deal with foreign objects
What is the EFAW certificate?
- The EFAW certificate shows that you have completed the training and are able to provide emergency first aid
- The certificate is valid for three years
- To renew the certificate, you must retake the course
Is EFAW training a legal requirement?Â
- Whether EFAW training is a legal requirement depends on your employer and the risk assessment for your workplace
Price: £65 members/£70 non members
Booking and cancellation policy: MDIY members will take priority over non-members. MDIY will refund the cost of tickets (less a £5 administration charge) if notice of cancellation is received more than 7 days before the event. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded.
