Summer School with Dr.Rajlaxmi S Nidmarti
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a weekend of yoga with Dr Rajlaxmi Nidmarti. These classes are suitable for students with two years or more of regular Iyengar yoga practice.
She has a doctorate in ayurvedic medicine, practice in gynecology. She worked as a full-time doctor, when she began taking classes at RIMYI Institute and has trained directly under Guruji, Dr.B.K.S. Iyengar. She has been teaching Iyengar yoga full time at the Institute for 22 years.
She has assisted with medical classes for 17 years and also been part of Geetaji`s entourage when she visited to teach Therapeutic Yoga in USA. She has given workshops in the United States, Germany, France and England, Finland, Japan and Denmark.
From the many years of study with Dr. BKS Iyengar, Dr. Geeta S. Iyengar and Prashant S Iyengar, she communicates a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise.

Programme: Friday 8th August – Sunday 10th August
Friday: 3 – 7pm
Saturday: 10am – 4:30pm
Sunday: 10am – 2pm
Preference will be given to those booking the full weekend. £140 members/£150 non members. Booking for single days will open at end of July, if there are places remaining.
Conditions of booking and attending the event:
It is essential that you inform us of any serious illness or injury in the days (or weeks) leading up to this event. Do not leave it until the day.
Booking Help
Online booking closes the day before the event.
We use PayPal to process transactions, however you can use ANY debit/credit card to pay – choose the “Guest User” option on the payment page and you will be asked for your card details.
MDIY members: If you only see the non-member rates, this means you are not logged in properly; please try logging in again. If this doesn’t work, please email webmaster@mdiiy.org.uk.
Non-members: You need to be logged in to book; please create a (free) basic account to book classes/events.
Attending an in-person event:
If you have not booked online but want to check whether you can come on the day, please call Clare on 07747200411
Payment is required in advance. You can pay with cash or a card on the door (if there are places available); but you will not be able to attend the class without payment. If you do need to pay on the door, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the published event start time, to minimise disruption during the class.
We will close the building 20 mins after the event finishes.
We will not tolerate behaviour that our members or volunteers find intimidating or inappropriate, including refusing to leave when asked. We reserve the right to remove membership and/or refuse future entry in the event of such behaviour.
Booking and cancellation policy
MDIY members will take priority over non-members. MDIY will refund the cost of tickets (less a £5 administration charge) if notice of cancellation is received more than 7 days before the event. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded.
